Last night, Dizzy streamed with Ski Mask the Slump God.
I know. That phrase alone sounds utterly ridiculous, but let me provide some context.
For those of you who do not know - 18 year old Coby Meadows, who was previously a professional CS:GO player, is a twitch streamer who goes by the name of "Dizzy" and has now exploded onto the scene with his jaw-dropping Apex Legends play. He has better aim than anyone I've ever seen, and consistently racks up 15,16,17 kill wins with up to 20,000 viewers watching. He won the first two "Twitch Rivals" Apex tournaments alongside Ninja, and then won the third with a different team. In short - he's ridiculously good.
I've been watching Dizzy since the game originally came out and he started to climb to the top of the Apex twitch charts. Usually his stream is a lot of the same. He hops into a lobby with two other randoms, drops somewhere flooded with other squads, buries all of them, typically wins, keeps it moving. Last night though, Dizzy did something I didn't see coming a mile away. He announced on twitter that he'd be squadding up with Ski Mask The Slump God, and Ski's friend Gio. The three played for several hours, and it really got me fired up because much like the Drake, Ninja Fortnite situation, it was another testament to the fusion between Hip-Hop and Video Games, and the endless potential therein. Ski Mask, who was very well-versed in the game, talked about touring, plans for the summer, and just seemed like a genuinely funny guy, which gave a layman like myself (and the other thousands of viewers) a quick insight into the life of a superstar. All because he likes to play video games. Awesome stuff.
Can't wait 'til Trippie Redd goes on twitch with Dr. Disrespect.
